Women's Tennis Rallies To Down York, 7-2



ANNVILLE, Pa.
- Lebanon Valley College rallied back from a 2-1 deficit after doubles to sweep singles and beat York College, 7-2, in women's tennis action Monday.

The Dutchmen extended their school-record-breaking season mark to 16-3. York fell to 2-8.

After dropping two of the three doubles points, the Dutchmen battled through singles to win all six flights. Sarah Grodzinski earned a hard-fought win at No. 1, beating Keturah Buchanan 6-4, 7-6 (8-6). Leslie Sabas cruised at No. 2 over Paige Doutrich, 6-1, 6-2, and Kelly Moll won at No. 3 over Megan Logan, 7-5, 6-1.

Sammy Burkey won a marathon at No. 4 over Heidi Acker, 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (7-0). Shayna Heintzelman defeated Steph Nelson, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 5, and Sara Wagner held off Caralyn Caruso, 6-0, 7-5, to win No. 6 singles.

LVC will play a final tune-up before the Commonwealth Conference playoffs, heading to Susquehanna University April 13 for a noon match.
