ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley College women's tennis team stepped up and defeated Susquehanna University, 7-2, on Sunday.

Playing singles without No. 1 Sarah Grodzinski, LVC moved everyone up in the lineup and took five of the six singles matches.

Kelly Moll scored a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1, while Sammy Burkey blanked Christine Crigler 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3. Shayna Heintzelman eased by at No. 4, 6-4, 6-0, and Sara Wagner and Jan White also picked up straight-set wins at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively, with Wagner winning 6-3, 6-3 and White 6-2, 6-1.
Charissa Nordall dropped a hard-fought three-setter at No. 2 to Julia Lerner, 6-7 (1-7), 7-5, 6-3.

LVC faces Commonwealth Conference opponent Messiah College Wednesday.
