WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley College women's tennis team finished its fall team schedule Thursday with a 7-2 win at King's College.
The Dutchmen finish the fall at 13-2 overall after sweeping through Commonwealth Conference play with a perfect 5-0 record.
LVC took two of three doubles points thanks to wins by
Sarah Grodzinski and
Shayna Heintzelman, along with
Morgan Brady and
Jessica Ferlenda.
In singles, Grodzinski
,
Sammy Burkey, and Heintzelman were all easy winners at the top three slots, and
Sara Wagner pulled out a 6-2, 3-6, 10-8 victory at No. 4 against Rachel Hoffnagle.
Kim DeLone was awarded victory at No. 5 when her opponent retired after winning the first set, and Ferlenda fell to Maria Cometa at No. 6, 6-1, 6-2.
LVC will compete at the MASCAC Individual Championships this weekend at the Hempfield Tennis Center in Landisville.
