ANNVILLE, Pa. - Senior Leslie Sabas broke the program record for career wins as Lebanon Valley College blanked Lycoming College, 9-0, in women's tennis action Saturday.
LVC (2-0) won every singles match in straight sets after capturing the doubles point from the Warriors (0-2).
Sabas was dominant at No. 2 singles, beating Rebecca Reynolds 6-1, 6-1. The win was her 33rd career singles win, besting the record of 32 set by Kelly Stauffer from 2000 to 2003.
Sarah Grodzinski shined at No. 1 singles, beating Amiee Snyder 6-2, 6-1, while Kelly Moll won at No. 3 over Kelly Drinkard, 6-1, 6-1. Charissa Nordall beat Erika Niemann 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4.
Shayna Heintzelman and Sara Wagner were perfect at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively, as each won won 6-0, 6-0.
LVC is back in action Sunday, hosting Susquehanna University at 1 p.m.
