LEBANON, Pa. – Brady Keath is tied for third with a four-over 76 to lead the Lebanon Valley men's golf team after the first round of the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Championships at Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon. The Dutchmen are second out of eight teams after a rainy round on Saturday afternoon with a score of 326.
Stevens Institute of Technology is the clubhouse leader after the first day with a score of 297. The Ducks have all five of their golfers in the top six, led by Jack Harris with a three-under par 69. Sebastian Beaver is second at 75, while Benjamin Slicker is tied with Keath at 76. Arcadia University is third with a score of 330, while DeSales University rounds out the top four at 338.
Inside the Results
- Keath had a great opening round with 11 pars and two birdies. The first-year posted a three on the ninth hole and a four on the 13th hole as his two birdies. He was a one-over 37 on the front nine and a three-over 39 on the back nine. Keath was especially strong from holes five through 14 as he posted eight of his pars and two birdies during that stretch.
- Herr is tied for ninth with an 82. The sophomore recorded a five-over 41 on the front and back nine holes. He posted 10 pars and a birdie on the par-four 10th hole. Herr had six pars on the front nine and then recorded pars on his final four holes of the afternoon.
- Reagan Flynn battled back from a slow start to post an 84. The sophomore is tied for 14th after recording 10 pars on the round. He carded a 45 on the front nine before ending strong with a three-over 39 on the back nine. Flynn had six pars on the back nine.
- Max Fisher also had an 84 to sit in a tie for 14th. The first-year had a 41 on the front nine and a 43 on the back nine with six pars and one birdie. He finished his round strong with a three on the par-four 18th hole. Fisher recorded pars on three of the first five holes.
- Bordy Rafferty is tied for 26th with a 90 after the first day. The first-year struggled on the front nine with a 48 before coming back with a six-over 42 on the back nine. He had six pars on the afternoon, including five on the back nine.
Up Next
The Dutchmen will be back on the course tomorrow morning for the final round of the conference championships as they will look to close the gap with Stevens. LVC will be paired with the Ducks and Knights once again on Sunday, with the first tee times beginning at 11:30 a.m.
