Flynn Finishes Tied for Fourth at Home Invitational

LEBANON, Pa. – Lebanon Valley sophomore Reagan Flynn carded his lowest round of the spring with a 76 to finish tied for fourth out of 78 golfers on Monday as the men's golf team hosted the Lebanon Valley Spring Invitational at Lebanon Country Club.
 
There was a three-way tie for first place between Peyton Moyer of Penn State Berks and Millersville University teammates Max Pflieger and Jake Shmonov, with all three finishing at a three-over par 75. Moyer won medalist honors with the best back nine of the three. Pflieger was second. Millersville won the team title with a score of 311. Elizabethtown College was second with a 313, and the University of Scranton finished third at 316. The Dutchmen had a score of 329 to finish seventh out of the 15 teams competing. The "B" team recorded a score of 366.
 
Inside the Results
  • Flynn had one of the best rounds of his career with a 38 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine for his 76. He recorded seven pars, two birdies, and an eagle on the par-five 15th hole. His birdies came on the par-five fifth hole and the par-four 17th hole.
  • Brayden Herr finished tied for 18th with a score of 80. The sophomore posted eight pars and birdies on the par-five second hole as well as the par-four 13th hole. He carded a 39 on the front nine and a 41 on the back nine.
  • Max Fisher carded an 85 to finish tied for 40th. He had a 41 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine. Fisher posted seven pars on the afternoon, including five on the front nine.
  • Brady Keath and Brody Rafferty each had an 88 to finish tied for 50th. Keath had a 46 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine with five pars. Rafferty recorded a 42 on the front nine and a 46 on the back nine with six pars.
  • The "B" team consisted of Grady Olson, Trenton Wagner, Lukas Bartek, Deakon Schaeffer, and Reece McDonald.
  • Olson had an 88 to finish tied for 50th. He carded a 42 on the front nine and a 46 on the back nine with seven pars. Olson had three consecutive pars on holes 16, 17, and 18.
  • Wagner recorded a 90 to finish tied for 60th. He had two pars and a birdie on the par-four 16th hole. Wagner carded a 48 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine holes.
  • Bartek finished with a 94, recording a 46 on the front nine and a 48 on the back nine. He had five pars on the round.
  • Schaeffer carded a 94 in his first collegiate event. The sophomore posted his first career birdie on the par-three 12th hole and added two pars. He had a 50 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine.
  • McDonald posted a 96 with one par. The senior had a 47 on the front nine and a 49 on the back nine.
Up Next
The Dutchmen will be back in action on Thursday as they make the short trip down the street for the Elizabethtown Spring Invitational at the Hershey Country Club. LVC will have seven golfers competing in the invitational that will begin at 12 p.m. with a shotgun start.
