NEW TRIPOLI, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's golf team had three scores in the 70s, led by
Brody Rafferty and
Brady Keath, who each recorded a 77, during the final round of the DeSales Spring Classic on Saturday afternoon at the Olde Homestead Golf Club in New Tripoli.
LVC recorded a team score of 319 on Saturday to finish sixth out of eight teams with a two-day score of 656. The Dutchmen had the fourth-best score on Saturday. The University of Scranton won the team title with a 304 and tournament total of 612 behind individual medalist Richard Essen. Essen was one over par for the tournament with a 145 after carding a two-under 70 on Saturday. Albright College was second with a score of 621 after a round of 310. Arcadia University scored 325 on Saturday to finish third at 637. Muhlenberg College was fourth with a score of 316 on Saturday to finish at 646. DeSales University had a score of 648 after a round of 322.
Inside the Results
- Rafferty was 10 strokes better than his first-round score with a 77. He had a strong back nine as he was even par 36 after carding a 41 on the front nine. Rafferty had seven pars and three birdies on the afternoon. His birdies came on the par-four 11th hole, the par-four 14th hole, and the par-four 15th hole. He finished the tournament in 16th out of 44 golfers with a two-day total of 164.
- Keath had a strong round with a 77, 11 strokes better than Friday, with an excellent final 12 holes. The first-year birdied the par-five first hole and went on a run of 10 straight pars from holes seven through 16. He birdied the par-three 17th hole before finishing with his 11th par. Keath carded a 42 on the front nine and was a one-under 35 on the back nine. He finished the tournament tied for 17th with a score of 165.
- Reagan Flynn finished 12th after recording a round of 79 to give him a score of 159. The sophomore had three birdies and six pars on the day with a 41 on the front nine and a two-over 38 on the back nine holes. He recorded birdies on the par-four second hole, the par-four 10th hole, and the par-five 16th hole.
- Grady Olson had a score of 86 to finish tied for 39th with a total of 182. He was 10 strokes better on Saturday with a strong back nine. Olson carded a 49 on the front nine but came back with a one-over 37 on the back nine. He birdied the par-five 12th hole and the par-four 18th hole and added five pars.
- Brayden Herr finished tied for 27th at 169 after a round of 87. He started out with a 40 on the front nine and then had a 47 on the back nine. Herr recorded nine pars, including seven on the front nine.
- Max Fisher carded an 86 to finish tied for 29th as an individual at 170 strokes. He posted eight pars on Saturday, including on the first six holes of the back nine. Fisher had a 45 on the front nine and a 41 on the back nine.

The Dutchmen will be back in action on Monday for the annual Lebanon Valley Spring Invitational at Lebanon Country Club. The shotgun start is scheduled for 12 p.m. in Lebanon.
