Flynn and Herr Card 81 on Final Day of Dickinson Invitational

CARLISLE, Pa. – Reagan Flynn and Brayden Herr led the Lebanon Valley men's golf team with scores of 81 on a cold and windy Monday at the Carlisle Country Club in the final round of the Dickinson Spring Invitational. The Dutchmen finished 14th out of 16 teams with a two-day score of 663.
 
Host Dickinson College had the top two golfers in the field as William Griffith and Collin McMahon-Shea each carded a 72 as the low scorers on Monday. Griffith won medalist honors with a two-day score of 141, while McMahon-Shea was second with a 143. The Red Devils had a score of 300 as a team to win the team title with a two-day score of 581. Dickinson's "B" team finished tied for second with a 306 on Monday and a tournament total of 588. Franklin & Marshall College was also second with a score of 588 after recording a 310 on Monday. The Dutchmen had the 12th best round with a 335 in the field to finish with a score of 663 in 14th place.
 
Inside the Results
  • Flynn carded an 81 on the par-71 course to finish with a two-day score of 159. The sophomore finished 46th out of 86 golfers at 16-over par. Flynn had a 40 on the front nine and a 41 on the back nine with five pars and birdies on the par-four seventh hole and the par-five 18th hole.
  • Herr also carded an 81 on day two to finish tied for 63rd at 164. The sophomore was one of two Dutchmen to have a better score at Carlisle Country Club than they did yesterday at the Carlisle Barracks Golf Club. Herr carded a two-over 37 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine with nine pars and a birdie on the par-five ninth hole.
  • Brody Rafferty finished tied for 71st with a score of 169 after the first-year had a round of 88 on Monday. He had a 45 on the front nine and a 43 on the back nine. Rafferty recorded two pars and a birdie on the par-five 15th hole.
  • Brady Keath was the other golfer to card a better score in round two with an 85. The first-year finished tied for 79th with a score of 173. He had eight pars on the round and recorded a 44 on the front nine with a 41 on the back nine.
  • Max Fisher carded a 91 to finish 82nd with a score of 177. The first-year posted a 45 on the front nine and a 46 on the back nine with four pars.
Up Next
The Dutchmen will be back in action this weekend as they compete at the two-day DeSales Spring Classic hosted by DeSales University. Round one is scheduled for Friday, March 27, at the Olde Homestead Golf Club in New Tripoli.
