Ditsky and Moser Earn Major Awards; Six Dutchmen Named to All-MAC Freedom Team

NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College Women's Lacrosse team garnered recognition from the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) on Wednesday, as the conference office announced in a release that the program earned two major awards, and six players were selected to the All-MAC Freedom Team. The announcement was highlighted by junior goalkeeper Gigi Ditsky being named the conference's Goalie of the Year, and first-year defender Chloe Moser earning Rookie of the Year honors. 

Ditsky and Moser were also chosen to the All-MAC Freedom First Team, along with senior attacker Alyssa Wene and fifth year attacker Emily Beard. Additionally, first-year defender Annelise Vetter was recognized on the Second Team, and sophomore attacker Elizabeth Morgan was listed as an Honorable Mention. 

Ditsky earned her first career All-Conference selection after a strong first season with the Dutchmen. The junior is also the first Lebanon Valley student-athlete to be named the Goalie of the Year. Ditsky posted 144 saves and a 13-6 record for the Dutchmen this year. The goalkeeper recorded an average of 7.58 saves per game and a save percentage of .425. In the conference during the regular season, the junior ranked fifth in save percentage, sixth in saves, and sixth in saves per game. Ditsky came through with several big games during the season, including when she made seven saves with five coming on free position shots in LVC's 20-10 victory over Marywood University on Feb. 26. This performance earned the junior MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week honors on March 3. Additionally, Ditsky set a career-high with 16 saves for the Dutchmen at No. 18 Stevens Institute of Technology on April 26. 

Moser was named to the All-MAC Freedom Team in her first collegiate season while becoming the second player in program history to be named Rookie of the Year. During her first year with the Dutchmen, she led the team with 50 ground balls, 34 caused turnovers, and a single-season program record of 133 draw controls. In the conference during the regular season, Moser was second in draw controls, fourth in caused turnovers, and sixth in ground balls. The first-year also netted a pair of goals during her debut campaign. Moser delivered several impactful games for Lebanon Valley during the year, including a performance that included nine draw controls, two caused turnovers, and a ground ball in the victory at DeSales University on April 2. She also posted 12 draw controls, a caused turnover, and a ground ball in a dominant 20-4 win over King's College on April 5. Additionally, Moser had a program record 17 draw controls and picked up two ground balls in the 23-1 victory over Delaware Valley University on April 12. The junior was recognized for these efforts with the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week award on April 7 and 14.  

Wene received her second career All-MAC Freedom honors, as the attacker was also listed on the Second Team last year. The senior led Lebanon Valley with 16 free-position goals and ranked second on the team with 80 points, 60 goals, three game-winning goals, and 105 draw controls. The attacker also tied for third on the squad with 20 assists. In the MAC Freedom during the regular season, Wene was tied for first in free-position goals, fourth in draw controls, tied for fourth in goals, and tied for fifth in points. The senior had several big games for the Dutchmen during the year, including her five-point effort with three goals and two assists while recording a career-high 15 draw controls, three caused turnovers, and two ground balls in the 20-10 victory over Marywood University on Feb. 26. This performance prompted Wene to be named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week on March 3. The attacker also registered season-highs with nine points and eight goals, including the game-winner, in the 13-12 overtime win at Susquehanna University on March 4. Wene led the Dutchmen to a big regular season win at DeSales with seven goals on nine shots in the conference opener on April 2.

Beard was honored on the All-MAC Freedom for the second time in her career after also being named to the First Team in 2024. The attacker led the Flying Dutchmen with 97 points, a single-season program record of 75 goals, and four game-winning goals while ranking second in assists with 22, second in free-position goals with nine, third in caused turnovers with 19, fourth in ground balls with 25, and fourth in draw controls with 19. In the conference during the regular season, Beard was first in goals and second in points. The fifth year was a key contributor to several victories, including when she tallied 10 points by tying a career-high eight goals while dishing out two assists in the 25-3 win against Gwynedd Mercy University on March 15. Beard also recorded 10 points with six goals while tying a career-high four assists in the 23-1 victory over Delaware Valley. This performance played a role in the attacker earning the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week award on April 14. Additionally, Beard reached multiple milestones during the campaign, recording her 200th career point and 200th career goal.  

Vetter was presented with All-MAC Freedom recognition following a strong first season for Lebanon Valley. The first-year was second on LVC with 25 caused turnovers while ranking third on the team with 36 ground balls. Vetter's defensive efforts contributed to the Dutchmen posting the third-best goals-against average in the MAC Freedom during the regular season. The defender's top performances of the year included when she recorded a season-high six ground balls and tied a season-high three caused turnovers in the 17-5 victory at Arcadia University on April 9. Vetter also had five ground balls and a caused turnover at the University of Scranton on March 12. Vetter helped anchor a defense that allowed just seven goals per game during conference play this season.

Morgan was also listed on the All-MAC Freedom Team for the first time in her career, after playing an important role in LVC's success during her sophomore campaign. The attacker was third on the team with 45 goals while ranking fourth with 63 points, fourth with two game-winning goals, and fifth with 18 assists. Morgan played a key role in multiple victories for the Flying Dutchmen this year, including when she tied career-highs with five goals and five assists for a career-high 10 points while tallying a career-high four ground balls and a caused turnover in the victory at Arcadia. The sophomore also tied a career-high five goals and dished out an assist in both the win over Delaware Valley and the 17-8 victory at Misericordia University on April 16.
