ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley Women's Lacrosse Head Coach
Rachel Perla announced the hiring of
Maya Porrecca as Assistant Coach.
"We are thrilled to welcome Maya to our team," Perla stated. "Maya brings a contagious positive energy, top-notch organizational skills, and an impressive playing background that we are excited to learn from. Her experience and mindset make her a perfect fit."
Porrecca joins the Dutchmen staff after a successful four-year playing career at Division II Millersville University as a defender. The two-year captain played in 61 games for the Marauders during her career and made 48 starts. She totaled 50 ground balls, 21 caused turnovers, and three draw controls while earning Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete honors all four years.
Porrecca, a Collegeville native, gained coaching experience as an Assistant Coach for True Dynamite and Black Bear lacrosse clubs.
"I am very excited to get on campus and start working with the team and Coach Perla," Porrecca stated. "I look forward to contributing to the success of the program and taking it to new heights."
Porrecca graduate from Millersville with a bachelor's degree in Sport Administration with a minor in Athletic Coaching in December 2024 and will earn her master's in Sport Management from Millersville in August. During her time as a Marauder, she was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and served as the Student Welfare Chair as a senior. Porrecca received the Athletic Coaching Minor Faculty Award and was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society. She volunteered as The Hidden Opponent Campus Ambassador all four years and at the 2024 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship in Philadelphia.
