ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Women's Swimming team had four student-athletes named Academic All-District® by College Sports Communicators (CSC) in a release by the professional organization earlier this week.
The Academic All-District® Women's Swimming Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have competed in at least five competitions or finished top eight in an event at the conference meet.
The four Dutchmen honorees are
Natalie Bourne,
Karly Kile,
Rachel King, and
Charlotte Richmond.
Bourne is a fifth year Exercise Science major from Columbia, Pennsylvania. She swam on three relay teams at the MAC Championships and was the leadoff leg on the 200-medley relay and the 400-medley relay. This is her second consecutive season earning All-District honors.
Kile is a sophomore Actuarial Science major from Nescopeck, Pennsylvania. She finished 26th in the 200 breaststroke, 29th in the 100 breaststroke, and 32nd in the 200 freestyle along with swimming on four relays at the MAC Championships.
King is a senior Physical Therapy major from Burnham, Pennsylvania. She finished 24th in the 200 breaststroke, 24th in the 100 breaststroke, and 29th in the 200 freestyle along with swimming on four relays including leading off the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays at the MAC Championships. This is her third consecutive season earning All-District honors.
Richmond is a senior Actuarial Science and Economics major from Fairfax, Virginia. She swam in seven meets during the regular season competing in the 50 backstroke, the 100 freestyle, and the 200 freestyle.
