NEWTOWN, Pa. – Senior guard Ryan Harder was honored by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) for his efforts in the Lebanon Valley College Men's Basketball team's past two games, as the conference office announced in a release on Monday that he was named the MAC Freedom Player of the Week.
Harder led the Dutchmen to a 1-1 week, averaging 27 points per game and shooting 58.8 percent from the field, including 64.7 percent on threes. The senior was 11-for-17 from deep and made all three of his free throw attempts. Harder began the week with a career-high 32 points on 12-for-18 shooting and 7-for-10 from long range in an 87-53 victory over King's College. He was two made threes off the program record and added four rebounds and two assists. The senior ended the week with a game-high 22 points and four rebounds in a 71-62 defeat at conference-leading Stevens Institute of Technology. Harder shot fifty percent from the field and was 4-for-7 on threes.
This marks the first conference weekly honor of Harder's career. The Dutchmen have now received five awards from the conference this season, as senior forward Evin Timochenko was named the MAC Freedom Player of the Week on Nov. 11, 2024, Dec. 2, 2024, Dec. 16, 2024, and Jan. 6.
Harder and the Dutchmen will return to the court at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, when the team will travel to the area of Harder's hometown to take on Misericordia University at the Anderson Center in Dallas, Pennsylvania.
