ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Women's Ice Hockey will begin its quest for a Middle Atlantic Conference title on Saturday as the third-seeded Dutchmen take on second-seeded Arcadia University in the semifinals of the Inaugural MAC Tournament. Top-seeded Wilkes University will host fourth-seeded Alvernia University in the other semifinal pairing.
LVC is having a record-breaking year on the ice going 17-7-1 overall and 14-6-1 in conference play. The Dutchmen are eighth in the nation in scoring defense allowing just 1.12 goals per game and seventh in shutouts with nine. The squad has been very good on the penalty kill as they ranked 10th with a .947 kill percentage and lead Division III with seven short-handed goals. LVC has outscored teams 81-28 this year.
Arcadia won all three meetings with the Dutchmen this season recording a pair of very close 1-0 victories back in December at Hatfield Ice Arena in Colmar before defeating LVC 3-0 at Hersheypark Arena earlier this month. Lebanon Valley won the season series with top-seeded Wilkes as they swept the weekend series with the Colonels back in November with a 2-1 overtime win and a 1-0 victory. Wilkes won the meeting in Wilkes-Barre a couple weeks ago 3-1 after the Dutchmen scored first. LVC has three close games with Alvernia going 1-1-1. The Golden Wolves won the shootout in a 1-1 tie before LVC won 2-1 the next night at Hersheypark Arena in November. Alvernia won 2-1 in overtime last weekend in Reading. Wilkes swept the season series with Alvernia by scores of 2-1, 5-1, and 6-3. The semifinal game in Wilkes-Barre will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday with LVC and Arcadia playing in Colmar at 5:30 p.m. The winners will meet for the Championship next Saturday, March 8 at the site of the higher seed. Arcadia and Alvernia have won the past three MAC titles including being awarded co-champions last year after a tie atop the regular season standings.

Anna Dale enters the weekend as the nation's leading scorer with a program-record 26 goals and 13 assists for 39 points. She leads the nation in goals per game at 1.04, in short-handed goals with five, is second in game-winning goals with five, and is fifth in points per game with 1.56.
Tiffany Anderson is second on the team in points with 24 on eight goals and a team-high 16 assists. She is also ranked fifth in the nation with 312 faceoff wins. Senior captain
Erin Yorke has 19 points on six goals and 13 assists while leading the conference with a +/- of +35.
Leela Nemani adds 17 points on six goals and 11 assists.
Maeghan Howson is one of three Dutchmen with 14 points and is second on the team with 10 goals and four assists.
Sky Campanile has seven goals and seven assists while
Addison Taylert adds three goals and 11 assists.
Cheyenne Wilk has recorded 13 points on six goals and seven assist.
Jess Dawe has scored three goals and recorded six assists while
Alex Franke has two goals and four assists.
Norah McCauliffe and
Laura Radford have recorded four assists each while Chelly Wolf has scored three goals.
Najla Hatem adds three assists while Madelyn Debelis has a goal and an assist.
Julia Schafer has two assists on the season while
Madisyn Olson has one.
Mia Frisoni and
Lacy Bigelow have been strong in goal all year. Frisoni is 8-7-1 and leads Division III with a .964 save percentage. She is 14th with 1.179 goals against average and seventh with a program-record five shutouts. Bigelow is 8-0-0 with a 0.63 goals against average in eight games. She has a .970 save percentage and four shutouts.
