MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Lebanon Valley senior safety
Carter Foust was honored for his excellent season with more postseason honors as he was named to the D3football.com 2025 All-Region 1 First Team in a release by the organization on Wednesday.
The teams, selected in balloting by Region 1 sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 163 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 77 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced Monday, Dec. 22, 2025.
Foust earns his first All-Region honor after an incredible senior season where he had 54 tackles, four interceptions, five pass breakups, and one forced fumble. His 147 interception return yards were the sixth most in the nation during the regular season, while his 90-yard interception return for a touchdown against FDU-Florham was tied for the 13th longest this season. The two-time D3football.com Team of the Week honoree had four tackles and an interception for 15 yards in LVC's 24-21 victory over MAC Champion Eastern, giving the Eagles their only loss of the regular season. He then followed that performance up with eight tackles, two interceptions for 42 yards, and a forced fumble in LVC's 21-18 victory at Delaware Valley, the program's first victory over the Aggies since 2013. He had a team-high six tackles in LVC's season opener against Centennial Conference Champion, Franklin & Marshall. The safety broke up a season-high two passes and recorded seven tackles against Misericordia.
The senior becomes the program's first All-Region First Team selection since 2019, when Logan Grauer also earned All-America Honorable Mention honors at special teams. This is the third consecutive year the Dutchmen have a safety earn All-Region honors as
Evan Kutzler was named to the third team in 2023 and the second team in 2024. Foust is LVC's 20th All-Region honoree in program history. The Dutchmen have had at least one All-Region selection in each of the past four seasons.
