NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College field hockey team was honored by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom on Monday, Nov. 10, after a strong 2025 season with the release of the conference postseason awards. Junior forward and midfielder Claire Weidenhammer was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Year, while LVC received five selections to the All-MAC Freedom Field Hockey Team.
Weidenhammer and senior defender Amelia Taube were both listed on the First Team. Additionally, senior forward Rebecca Lane, senior forward and midfielder Gracie Johnson, and junior goalkeeper Ella Weidenhammer were recognized on the Second Team.
Claire Weidenhammer was chosen as the Offensive Player of the Year for the first time in her career and was honored on the All-Conference First Team for the second straight year. She is the first Lebanon Valley player to be selected as the Offensive Player of the Year since Cecile Kat was presented with the award by the MAC Commonwealth in 2019. This season, Claire Weidenhammer led the Dutchmen with 43 points, 19 goals, and three game-winning goals. She was also tied for second on the team with five assists and recorded averages of 2.39 points per game and 1.056 goals per game. At the end of the regular season, the junior ranked tied for 17th in goals per game, tied for 22nd in goals, 23rd in points per game, and tied for 24th in points in NCAA Division III. In the MAC Freedom, she was first in points, points per game, goals, and goals per game. Claire Weidenhammer's top performance of the year was when she scored a career-high four goals, including the game-winner, for a career-high eight points during Lebanon Valley's 9-0 victory at FDU-Florham on Oct. 18. The junior was also recognized for her efforts during the season by being named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week twice.
Taube earned All-MAC Freedom honors for the second time in her career, as she was named to the Second Team last season. The defender played an integral role for a defensive unit that posted a goals-against average of 0.89 per game and eight shutouts. Taube recorded six defensive saves during the year, which led the conference and was tied for 26th in NCAA Division III at the conclusion of the regular season. The senior tallied a defensive save during three conference games, a 2-1 defeat to Stevens Institute of Technology on Oct. 11, a 6-0 victory over Arcadia University on Oct. 22, and a 2-1 defeat at Misericordia on Oct. 25. She anchored the defense that was ranked first in the MAC Freedom and eighth in the nation in goals-against average.
Lane received All-Conference honors for the first time in her career, following a strong senior year. This fall, the forward led the Flying Dutchmen with 10 assists while ranking second on the team with 24 points and two game-winning goals and tying for second with seven goals. She also recorded an average of 0.526 assists per game. During the regular season, Lane was tied for second in the conference in assists and assists per game, while ranking tied for 16th in the nation in assists and tied for 23rd in the country in assists per game. The senior contributed to several victories during the season, including when she recorded a career-high five points by tying a career-high two goals, including the game-winner, and dishing out an assist in the 7-0 win over Juniata College on Oct. 1. Lane also tied a career-high five points with a goal and a career-high three assists in the 9-0 victory over King's College on Nov. 1.
Johnson earned All-Conference recognition for the fourth time in her career, having received the honor in each of her collegiate seasons. This year, the senior tied for second on the Dutchmen with seven goals and ranked third on the squad with 16 points. She played an important role in the program's offense, recording averages of 8.32 points per game and 3.211 goals per game, prompting the team to rank second in the conference in both categories during the regular season. Johnson's top performances of the year included when she recorded four points with two goals in both the victories over Juniata and at FDU-Florham. The senior also tallied three points with a goal and an assist in Lebanon Valley's win over King's. Additionally, Johnson dished out an assist on the game-winning goal for LVC in the 4-0 victory over Wilson College on Aug. 29.
Ella Weidenhammer was named to the All-MAC Freedom Team for the second time in her career, as the goalkeeper was recognized on the First Team and as the Defensive Player of the Year last fall. This season, the junior recorded 88 saves, a save percentage of .838, and one shutout for the Dutchmen. The goalkeeper also contributed to Lebanon Valley's defensive unit ranking first in the MAC Freedom in goals-against average, as well as ranking eighth in the nation in goals-against average at the end of the regular season. Individually, Ella Weidenhammer was first in the conference in save percentage and second in goals-against average. The junior ranked 13th in goals-against average and 18th in save percentage in NCAA Division III. Ella Weidenhammer delivered several impactful performances during the season, including when she posted eight saves during the 3-2 shootout victory over No. 17 The College of New Jersey on Sept. 27 and 13 saves in s shootout defeat at William Smith on Sept. 14. She earned a shutout by recording two stops in the 1-0 win at Immaculata University on Sept. 20.
