Men’s Golf Finishes Fall at Home Invitational

LEBANON, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's golf team wrapped up the fall schedule on Monday afternoon at Lebanon Country Club as the program hosted the annual Lebanon Valley Fall Invitational. The Dutchmen faced off against 17 other teams at the event.
 
The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg won the team title with a score of 300. Millersville University was second at 317, while Elizabethtown College and Penn State Harrisburg tied for third with scores of 325. There was a four-way tie for medalist honors at two-over 74, with Gavin Fegley of Penn State Harrisburg winning the tiebreaker with the best back-nine score.
 
The Dutchmen had 11 golfers competing, with the team split up into Blue and White and one individual. LVC Blue consisted of Reagan Flynn, Brayden Herr, Lewis Dieffenbach, Brody Rafferty, and Brady Keath. LVC White's team was Patrick Devine, Trenton Wagner, Max Fisher, Grady Olson, and Jake Bollinger. Lukas Bartek played as an individual. The Blue team finished 12th in the field with a 337, while the White team was tied for 17th at 351.
 
Inside the Results
  • Flynn placed tied 17th in the field of 101 with a score of 80 on the par 72 course. He recorded a 36 on the front nine holes and a 44 on the back nine. Flynn birdied the par-four fifth hole and had 11 pars on the afternoon. He recorded a par on seven holes during the front nine, including the first four holes.
  • Herr finished tied for 40th with an 83. The sophomore birdied the par-four sixth hole and recorded seven pars. Herr carded a 41 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine holes.
  • Keath finished with an 85 to place tied for 47th. He birdied the par-four first hole and the par-four fifth hole to record a 39 on the front nine and a 46 on the back. Keath had four pars for the round.
  • Bollinger had a strong round with an 85 to finish tied for 47th to lead the White Team. He carded a 43 on the front nine and a 42 on the back with six pars. Bollinger recorded a birdie on the par-four 18th hole.
  • Fisher recorded an eagle on the par-four 13th hole and finished with an 87. He added a birdie on the par-four fifth hole to finish tied for 61st. Fisher carded a 44 on the front nine and a 43 on the back.
  • Rafferty finished 73rd with an 89. He carded a 42 on the front nine and a 47 on the back nine with four pars. Rafferty recorded birdies on the par-three third hole and the par-five 15th hole.
  • Dieffenbach had a 92 to finish tied for 85th. He carded a 46 on both the front and back nine holes. Dieffenbach had six pars for the afternoon, including the last three holes.
  • Bartek finished 92nd with a 94. He had three pars and a birdie on the par-four 17th hole. Bartek recorded a 44 on the front nine holes and a 50 on the back.
  • Devine finished tied for 54th with an 86. He had nine pars on the round with a 40 on the front nine and a 46 on the back. Devine recorded four pars in a row from holes six through nine.
  • Olson carded a 93 to finish tied for 89th. He recorded a 49 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine with five pars.
  • Wagner was 98th with a 98. He struggled on the front nine with a 57 but played well over the back nine with a 41. Wagner carded five pars on the afternoon.
Up Next
The Dutchmen are done for the fall and will break for the winter. They will return to action in the spring with a full schedule of events being posted sometime over the next few months. The home spring invitational is scheduled for March 30 at Lebanon Country Club.
