KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Blake Dustin fired off a 75 and
Brayden Herr recorded an eagle on his way to a score of 79 to lead the Lebanon Valley Men's Golf team on a rainy Thursday afternoon at the Berkleigh Golf Club for the Battle at Berkleigh in Kutztown.
The Dutchmen finished tied for eighth as a team in the field of 14 teams with a season-low score of 320. Drew University won the team title with a score of 290 while Albright College was second with a 296. Lancaster Bible College's Jake Rotelle won medalist honors with a five-under 67.
Inside the Results
- Dustin finished in a six-way tie for 11th in a field of 72 with his season-low score of 75. He was three-over on the front nine hole with a 38 and shot an even par 37 on the back nine. Dustin carded eight pars and four birdies. He birdied the ninth, 10th, 12th, and 16th holes.
- Herr had his best round of the fall as he finished in a five-way tie for 28th with a 79. The first-year had an eagle on the par-five 16th hole and added eight pars on the afternoon. He finished with a 39 on the front nine and a 40 on the back nine holes.
- Brandon Staniszewski also had his best round of the year with an 80 to finish tied for 33rd. He carded a 39 on the front nine and a 41 on the back nine with eight pars and a birdie on the par-five 18th hole.
- Darion Benchich carded a season-low 86 to finish tied for 52nd. He had six pars and a birdie on the 18th hole. The graduate student had a 46 on the front nine holes and a 40 on the back nine.
- Harris Blackwood rounded out the LVC golfers with a season-low 90 to finish tied for 62nd. He carded a 46 on the front nine and 44 on the back nine with three pars and a birdie on the 18th hole.
