SAUCON VALLEY, Pa. – Bryden Herr had three birdies and finished with a 81 to pace the Lebanon Valley Men's Golf team on Monday afternoon at the Weyhill Classic hosted by Moravian University at the Saucon Valley Country Club.
The Dutchmen had a team score of 350 strokes to finish ninth in the field of 12 teams. University of Scranton won the team title with 296 strokes behind medalist Jack Novis who carded a one-under 70 to defeat teammate Gehrig Shannon by one stroke.
Inside the Results
- Herr tied for 15th in the field of 58 golfers with his 81 on the par 71 course. He birdied the par 4 eighth hole, the par 4 13th hole, and the par 3 16th hole while adding five pars to his round. The first-year golfer carded a 43 on the front nine and had a strong back nine with a 38.
- Brandon Staniszewski shot an 88 to finish tied for 37th. The senior had a 40 on the front nine and 48 on the back nine holes with four pars and a birdie on the par 4 seventh hole.
- Darion Benchich carded an 89 for the second consecutive invitational to finish tied for 40th. He had seven pars on the afternoon with a 42 on the front nine and 47 on the back nine hole.
- Harris Blackwood finished tied for 46th with a 92. The senior had three birdies on the par 4 fourth hole, the par 5 sixth hole, and the par 5 12th hole. He carded a 45 on the front nine holes and 47 on the back with one par.
- Blake Dustin had a 93 to finish tied for 50th in his second collegiate invitational. The first-year carded a 43 on the front nine and 50 on the back nine with four pars.

The Dutchmen will return to competition next Thursday, September 26, with the Battle at Berkleigh at the Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown.
