ANNVILLE, Pa. – Following back-to-back Centennial-MAC Bowl appearances, the Lebanon Valley football team is looking to continue the program's success and make a deep playoff run this year. The Dutchmen will have six of their 10 games on the road this fall but have two of their four home games at Arnold Field are down the final stretch of the season in November.
The Dutchmen start the season on the road at Franklin & Marshall College on September 6 in a Friday night game. This will be their 44th meeting all-time against the Diplomats and the 10th straight season they have opened the season against each other. Lebanon Valley will begin Middle Atlantic Conference play against Stevenson University in the home opener on September 14. The Dutchmen are 5-5 all-time against the Mustangs with the LVC winning last year's game in Maryland 45-38. The Dutchmen will travel to Radnor on September 21 to play Eastern University in the second-ever meeting between the programs. LVC took down the Eagles 45-7 in the rain last year on Arnold Field.
The following week Lebanon Valley will travel east to Madison, N.J. where they will face FDU-Florham. The Dutchmen lead the all-time series 10-3 against the Devils but dropped a close one in last year's meeting. The game against the Devils will also be the annual Coach to Cure MD Game. After a league-wide bye week, LVC returns home for a big Homecoming matchup against five-time defending MAC champions Delaware Valley University. The Dutchmen are holding a whiteout against the Aggies in the 25th meeting between the two schools. The Dutchmen will then be on the road for two straight weeks with trips up I-81 to the Wilkes-Barre area. They begin with the 22nd all-time meeting with King's College in a series where they have been a lot of close games. The following week they head back up the highway to take on Misericordia University on October 26 in a series where they hold a 9-2 all-time record.
November begins with a home game against Widener University. Last year the Dutchmen had a thrilling 27-24 double-overtime victory over the Pride in Chester. The Dutchmen then travel to Reading for the final road game of the year to take on Alvernia University. The Dutchmen are 5-0 all-time against the Golden Wolves and have average 36.6 points in the five meetings. The regular season finale will be against rival Albright College on November 16 which will also be Senior Day for the Dutchmen. The Dutchmen have won the past three meetings with the Lions including a dominant 47-9 victory on the road last year.
