NEWTOWN, Pa. – Lebanon Valley football standout
Drew Campbell was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Football Senior Scholar-Athlete in a release by the conference office on Wednesday after an impressive career for the Dutchmen.
Campbell, a History major, is a three-time All-MAC selection at fullback, including two First Team selections and a Second Team selection this season. The team captain has helped power the Dutchmen to an appearance in the Centennial-MAC Bowl series three out of his four years and four wins over rival Albright College.
Academically, Campbell is a strong student, having earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team honors all three years he was eligible for the award. He has been voted to the Academic All-MAC Team twice and was named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll all four years. Campbell earned a spot on the inaugural EAST-COMM Academic Honor Roll and has earned Dean's List honors six times.
Campbell becomes the third Dutchman Football student-athlete to earn the conference's most prestigious award. He follows Nick Bentz in 2019 and Evan Kutzler last year to be honored by the conference office. Overall, LVC has 43 MAC Senior Scholar-Athletes with at least one honoree every year since the 2008-09 academic year.
