ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley football team had eight student-athletes named Academic All-District® by College Sports Communicators (CSC) in a release by the professional organization this week.
The Academic All-District® Football Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and have played in 90 percent of games or started in 66 percent of games this fall, with a limit of eight nominations per school. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
The eight Dutchmen who were honored are
Nate Argiro,
Drew Campbell,
Aonghas Evanick,
Ryan Fink,
J.D. McCallion,
Logan Milito,
Luke Ordway, and
Maxwell Wisensale.
Argiro is a senior Criminal Justice and Sociology major from Stewartstown, Pennsylvania. The offensive guard started all 11 games for the Dutchmen this fall. He was part of the offensive line that earned D3football.com Team of the Week honors twice and allowed just 15 total sacks this season. This is his third consecutive year earning Academic All-District honors.
Campbell is a senior History major from Reading, Pennsylvania. The h-back and tight end played in 10 games and earned Second Team All-MAC honors as a fullback. He recorded 98 yards on 12 receptions while serving as the lead blocker for LVC's rushing attack that averaged 183.9 yards per game and 4.9 yards per attempt. This is his third consecutive year earning Academic All-District honors.
Evanick is a graduate student studying for his Master's in Education from Souderton, Pennsylvania. The defensive tackle started all 11 games and earned Honorable Mention All-MAC honors as a defensive lineman. He recorded 32 total tackles, including 2.5 sacks for 26 yards with two quarterback hurries. This is his second consecutive year earning Academic All-District honors.
Fink is a senior Early Childhood Education and Special Education major from Lititz, Pennsylvania. The defensive back started all 11 games and recorded 34 total tackles with a forced fumble. He intercepted three passes for 24 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown return against FDU-Florham, and broke up three passes. This is his second time earning Academic All-District honors.
McCallion is a junior Exercise Science major from Thurmont, Maryland. The linebacker started all 11 games and made 69 total tackles, including four tackles for a loss and one sack for five yards. He also broke up four passes.
Milito is a junior Early Childhood Education and Special Education major from State College, Pennsylvania. The offensive guard started all 11 games for the Dutchmen this fall. He was part of the offensive line that earned D3football.com Team of the Week honors twice and allowed just 15 total sacks this season.
Ordway is a senior Early Childhood Education major from Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania. The defensive end started all 11 games and earned Second Team All-MAC honors as a defensive lineman. He recorded 43 total tackles, including 5.0 tackles for a loss and 2.0 sacks for eight yards with three quarterback hurries and nine pass breakups. This is his second consecutive year earning Academic All-District honors.
Wisensale is a junior Health and Physical Education major from Hanover, Pennsylvania. The defensive back and punter played in all 11 games and earned Honorable Mention All-MAC honors as a punter. He punted 32 times for 1,274 yards this season with a long of 69, four touchbacks, 10 fair catches, seven inside the 20, and five punts of 50+ yards.
