CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Lebanon Valley outdoor track and field team had a great finish to the season as
Zach Reed,
Lauren Bunke, and
Nick Guerieri had podium finishes on the final day of the AARTFC Championships at SUNY Cortland.
Reed ended his great season with a time of 54.30 seconds in the 400 hurdles to finish seventh and score two points for the Dutchmen. Bunke earned five points for the women's team with a fourth place finish in the 1500 meters. The graduate student wrapped up her outstanding career with a time of 4:39.71. Guerieri finished fourth in the javelin to score five points with a throw of 57.93 meters (190'1") on his sixth and final throw of the year.
Melena Koutch was the only other Dutchman to compete on Thursday and finished 17th in the high jump with a height of 1.51 meters (4'11.5").
The Dutchmen men finished 32nd out of 46 scoring teams with seven points. The women were tied for 36th out of 43 scoring teams with five points.
LVC will wait until tomorrow for the NCAA Championships Selections to be released. Javelin thrower
Ian Paul is currently ranked seventh in the nation and is expected to be one of the individuals that will head to the National Championships next weekend.
