SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Nick Guerieri won the javelin at the Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday for the Lebanon Valley men's outdoor track and field team at Shippensburg.
TOP PERFORMANCES AND NEW QUALIFIERS
Guerieri threw a career best mark of 58.39 meters (191'7") on his sixth and final attempt to top the field in the javelin. His mark is seventh on the program's top 10 list and second in the MAC heading into next weekend's championship meet.
Ian Paul was fourth with a toss of 56.81 meters (186'5") on his second attempt.
Trey Reynolds was fifth in the hammer with a toss of 48.41 meters (158'10") on his second attempt.
Aonghas Evanick finished eighth in the discus with a mark of 42.90 meters (140'9") on his third try.
Graison Michajluk as third in the high jump with a height of 1.88 meters (6'2").
Alec Di Cesare qualified for the MAC Championships in the 400 meters with a time of 51.96 seconds.
Elijah McKell was foruth in the 800 meters as he crossed the line in 1:54.91.
Vinny Ferrizzi was sixth in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:02.60 while
Eric Shelton became a MAC qualifier with a time of 4:08.49.
Joseph Pleban ran a MAC qualifying time of 34:57.00 in the 10,000 meters to finish seventh.
Zach Reed had another great race in the 110 hurdles running 14.88 seconds in the final to finish second after crossing the line in 15.13 seconds during preliminaries.
Daniel Murtha was fifth with a time of 15.41 seconds in the final after running 15.43 seconds in prelims.
Kadan Smith just missed the final and finsiehd 10th in 16.01 seconds.
Up Next
LVC will compete at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships next weekend. The meet will begin on Thursday and continue through Saturday at Widener University.
