CHESTER, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley outdoor track and field distance runners had a strong performance on Friday evening as they competed at the Danny Curran Invitational on the campus of Widener University in Chester.
Coyla Bartholomew finished second in the 10000 meters with a MAC and AARTFC qualifying time of 39:11.42. In her first collegiate 10K, Bartholomew moved into the LVC record books at fourth on the top 10 list. The Dutchmen had three other MAC qualifiers in the race.
Aleah Hoffman ran a career best 42:39.65,
Charlee Kurtz crossed the line in 43:34.03, and
Caroline Borleis ran 45:26.86.
The men had four MAC qualifiers in the 10000 led by
Joe Chukoskie with a career-best time of 31:40.04. His time moved him up to fifth from ninth in the program record book.
Matthew Santana wasn't far behind him with a time of 31:49.81. His time is sixth on the top 10 list. Chukoskie and Santana also qualified for the AARTFC Championships with their times.
Dylan Lenhart ran a time of 34:44.00 and
Liam Allen was the fourth MAC qualifier in 34:45.51.
Sam Rothstein was a MAC qualifier in the 5000 meters with a career best time of 15:26.88.
The Dutchmen will be back in action next weekend on April 6 as they compete at the Millersville Metrics hosted by Millersville University.
