NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College Women's Ice Hockey team garnered recognition after winning its first three games of the season, as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office announced in a release on Monday that the program swept the conference's weekly awards. Sophomore forward Anna Dale was honored as the Offensive Player of the Week, and sophomore goaltender Lacy Bigelow was named the Defensive Player of the Week.  

Dale had a huge first week of the season with seven points on five goals, including two game-winning goals, and two assists in three wins. The sophomore started the year with a goal and two assists in a 5-4 victory over Chatham on Tuesday. Dale tied the game at two with her first goal of the year early in the second period and then assisted on LVC's last two goals in the period to take a 5-2 lead over the Cougars. Dale then scored four goals in a weekend sweep at Neumann. She scored two goals in each game, including the game-winning first goal of the games. Dale scored the first and third goals of a 5-0 victory on Friday and then the first and third goals of a 4-0 victory on Saturday. Her final goal of the weekend was a short-handed goal. 

Bigelow made 20 saves in a 4-0 shutout at Neumann on Saturday to wrap up a 3-0 week for the Dutchmen in her only action of the week. The sophomore made eight saves in the first period, three in the second, and nine in the third period as LVC outshot the Knights 50-20. 

This is Dale's third career MAC weekly award, as the forward was also recognized twice during the 2023-24 campaign. For Bigelow, this marked the goalie's first career weekly honor from the conference. Dale and Bigelow are the first Dutchmen players to sweep the MAC weekly awards since defenseman Erin Yorke was named the Offensive Player of the Week and goaltender Mia Frisoni was listed as the Defensive Player of the Week on Jan. 15 of last season.  

Dale, Bigelow, and the Dutchmen will return to action at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, as the team will host Wilkes University for the first of two matchups this weekend at Hersheypark Arena.
