NEWTOWN, Pa. – Graduate student goalkeeper Dalton Fitterling was chosen as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Defensive Player of the Week for his dominance in the Lebanon Valley College Men's Soccer team's victory over FDU-Florham, as announced in a release by the conference office on Monday.  

Fitterling made eight saves in his fourth shutout of the season as LVC went on the road to defeat FDU-Florham 2-0 in the team's only game of the week. Fitterling faced a season-high 29 shots and made five of his eight saves in the second half. The Dutchmen successfully defended seven corner kicks, the most the Dutchmen have given up this season. 

This is Fitterling's third MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week award this season, marking the 11th of his career. The graduate student was also recognized on Sept. 2 and Sept. 9 this fall. The Dutchmen have now received five weekly honors from the conference this year.  

Fitterling and Lebanon Valley will return to the pitch at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, as the program will travel to compete against King's College at McCarthy Stadium in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
