Box Score WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College Football team lost to King's College, 28-13, in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) contest at McCarthy Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 19.
King's scored 14 unanswered second-half points to remain unbeaten in the MAC at 5-0 and improve to 5-1 overall. LVC is now 2-3 in the MAC and 2-4 overall.
Trailing 28-13 midway through the fourth quarter, LVC's drive into the red zone stalled on a penalty before the Monarchs intercepted a tipped pass to shut down the comeback.
LVC's most exciting play of the game came right before halftime. The Dutchmen lined up for a long field goal attempt and then shifted to an offensive set where
Jeremy Bours Jr. found
Sheadan Makosy for a 26-yard touchdown down the middle.
Tim Kissinger's extra point clipped the Monarch lead to 14-13.
Bohannon connected with
Drew Campbell for an 11-yard score in the first quarter after King's jumped out to an early 7-0 advantage.
Malachi Williams and
Avrey Grimm provided a steady one-two punch on the ground for LVC. Williams finished with 71 yards and Grimm tallied 72.
Inside the Box
- LVC recovered a muffed punt late in the fourth quarter.
- Bours' touchdown pass is the second of his career. The punter has now caught and thrown a touchdown this season.
- Bohannon surpassed 4,000 career passing yards and now ranks third in LVC history. He also moved into second in total offense for his career.
- King's blocked two field goals in the game that left the Dutchmen without points on critical drives.
