Dutchmen Men Win Three Events at Mini-Dip Invitational

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's indoor track and field team won three events and had nine more top three-finishers at the Mini-Dip Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday.
 
TOP PERFORMANCES AND MAC QUALIFIERS
Zach Reed finished second in the 200 meters with a MAC qualifying time of 23.24 seconds. He also finished second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.40 seconds in the final. Reed had the fastest time during preliminaries at 8.56 seconds. Owen Linder was second in the 300 meters with a time of 36.77 seconds. Alec Di Cesare was third in the 600 meters with a time of 1:25.95. Sam Rothstein won his fourth event of the year with a career-best time of 1:57.74 in the 800 meters. Elijah McKell was second in 1:57.98. Both Rothstein and McKell qualified for the MAC Championships with their times as well as Vinny Ferrizzi who ran 2:03.35. The men's 4x200 meter relay team of Linder, Daniel Murtha, Alex Sabo, and Tajay Brown won in 1:35.16. The Dutchmen had four MAC qualifiers in the mile in Aden Davis with a time of 4:35.17, Lukas Walko with a time of 4:35.41, Donnie Miller with a time of 4:36.34 and Eric Shelton with a time of 4:36.34.
 
Graison Michajluk was second in the high jump with a height of 1.80 meters (5'10.75"). He also qualifier for the MAC Championships in the heptathlon. Ayden Stankus won the pole vault with a height of 4.35 meters (14'3.25"). Ben Wolfe was second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.99 meters (42'7.5") on his fifth try. Cody Shay finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 14.69 meters (48'2.5") on his third throw.
 
INTO THE RECORD BOOKS
Reed's 200-meter dash time of 23.24 seconds is ninth in program history. Rothstein's 800 time of 1:57.74 is seventh on the top 10 List while McKell's time of 1:57.98 is eighth. The Dutchmen had a few changes to the top 10 300 times in program history. Linder's career best 36.77 seconds is tied for second, moving him up from fifth. Donovan Goundie's career best 37.12 seconds is fourth, moving him up from sixth. Bruchak's time of 37.77 seconds is seventh. McKell's time of 37.98 seconds is eight and Di Cesare's time of 38.12 seconds in ninth.
 
Up Next
The Dutchmen will be back in action next Friday with a trip to New York City to compete in the NYU Invitational at the world famous New Balance Track and Field Center at The Armory.
