ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley football seniors
Ryan Enright and
Jeremy Bours Jr. became the latest Dutchmen earn D3football.com Team of the Week honors on Tuesday with the release of this week's team by the media outlet.
The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 25th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are nominated by schools.
Enright earned his spot on the team at linebacker after another huge defensive game as the Dutchmen nearly upset 25th-ranked Delaware Valley on Saturday with the Aggies scoring with 14 seconds left for a 21-17 victory. Enright flew all over the field making 15 tackles including 11 solo tackles. The senior also forced a fumble.
Bours Jr. was named to the team as a punter after he had a strong day punting with six punts for 217 yards on Saturday. The senior averaged 36.2 yards per punt with a long of 46 and had two punts inside the 20. The Aggies were only able to return two of his six punts averaging nine yards on the two returns.
Enright and Bours Jr. become the 34th and 35th Dutchmen to be selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week since 1999 and the third and fourth this season. This is the first career weekly award for Enright while Bours Jr. was selected to the Team of the Week for the second time in his career.
The Dutchmen will be in action on Saturday with a 1 p.m. kickoff at Arnold Field against Alvernia University.
