PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Lebanon Valley College basketball standouts
Collin Jones,
Evin Timochenko, and
Kate Fitzpatrick earned City of Basketball Love (CoBL) Division III All-Area honors. Jones earned First Team All-Area honors while Timochenko and Fitzpatrick were selected to the All-Rookie Team.
Jones was named to the First Team after he filled up the stat sheet during his junior season to the tune of 21.5 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game, the latter of which led all MAC Commonwealth competitors. He was efficient as a scorer as well, shooting 52.8 percent from the field, and earned First Team All-Conference honors. Jones racked up 11 double-doubles — including a 32-point, 15-rebound showing against Muhlenberg, and a 27-point, 17-board output against Alvernia. He scored fewer than 15 points just once all season.
Timochenko earned All-Rookie honors after he averaged nearly a double-double, finishing with 12.7 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game, the latter of which was third among all MAC Commonwealth players. He also finished among the league's top three in field goal percentage with a 55.6 percent clip. Timochenko had some of his best performances down the stretch, including a 22-point, 11-rebound line against Alvernia on February 9.
Fitzpatrick also was selected to the All-Rookie Team after she was voted as the Rookie of the Year in the MAC Commonwealth. She was a consistently productive scorer from start to finish of the season, ultimately averaging 13.7 points per game with just five games in single digits. Three of those five came in her first six appearances. Fitzpatrick was out for the month of December but averaged 15.0 point per game following her return. She missed just four of her 27 free throw tries on the season and added 3.4 rebound per game.
