ANNVILLE, Pa. – Eight Lebanon Valley College student-athletes were named to the Winter Middle Atlantic Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.
The MAC All-Sportsmanship Teams recognize student-athletes who exemplify great character and display exceptional sportsmanship both on and off the field. They represent their team, institution, and the conference with high integrity, and exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, and opponents. They are humble and hold themselves with pride, competing at the same level of intensity no matter who the competition is, or outcome of the contest. These student-athletes were selected by the head coaches and student-athletes from their respective teams.
Lebanon Valley's All-Sportsmanship honorees include:
Olivia Cindrich, women's ice hockey
A senior forward, Cindrich is among the program's career leaders in games played and numerous offensive categories. She tallied one goal and four assists in 23 games this season for the Dutchmen who recorded their most wins in school history.
Kate Fitzpatrick, women's basketball
Fitzpatrick earned the MAC Rookie of the Year and an All-MAC second team nod after leading the Dutchmen with 13.7 points per game. She ranked among the conference best in points per game, field goal percentage, and three-point field goal percentage.
Leah Norton, women's indoor track & field
A captain for the Dutchmen squad, Norton is always supportive and encouraging her teammates. She competes in sprinting and jumping events.
Alex Sabo, men's indoor track & field
Sabo qualified for the Middle Atlantic Conference indoor championships in the 60m dash, high jump, long jump, shot put, and multi events this season.
Cayla Sydow, women's swimming
Sydow finished as LVC's top individual finisher at MAC Championships with a fifth-place performance in the 400 IM. She finished 14th in the 100 backstroke finals and swam in the 400 and 800 freestyle relays and the 200 and 400 medley relays.
Blake Tosto, men's ice hockey
Tosto led the Dutchmen in scoring with 12 goals and 11 assists as the squad qualified for the United Collegiate Hockey Conference playoffs. He was named All-MAC honorable mention and finished among the conference standouts in points, goals, faceoffs, and assists.
Zach Tucker, men's basketball
Tucker wrapped his Dutchmen career by reaching the 1,000-point milestone in December. He served as the squad's floor leader at the point, registering a team-high 96 assists to go with 12.2 points per game.
Dain Vallie, men's swimming
Vallie paced the men's squad at MAC Championships with a pair of top 20 finishes in the 200 freestyle and 1650 freestyle events. He also swam a leg of the 200 and 400 freestyle relays and 400 medley relay.
