ANNVILLE, Pa. – For the first time since the 1998-99 season, Lebanon Valley's Men's Basketball team is set to host the Conference Championship on Thursday when the Flying Dutchmen's rivals, Albright, visits Sorrentino Gymnasium for the 2021 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Men's Basketball Championship.

How To Watch
Thursday's game is slated to tip off at 7 p.m. inside Sorrentino Gymnasium. Fans can watch the game, follow live stats, or listen on 91.1FM.

How They Got Here
In a shortened season due to COVID-19, the Dutchmen took advantage of their limited schedule and posted a MAC-Commonwealth-best 8-2 overall record and a 7-2 mark in conference play. LVC won its first six games for its best start in over 25 years before falling narrowly to Alvernia 87-81 on March 5. The Dutchmen bounced back and won two of their final regular-season games to clinch the top seed in the conference and the right to host the championship game.

Last Season vs. Albright
In the 2019-20 season, LVC and Albright split the season series 1-1. The Lions bested the Dutchmen 75-71 in overtime in Annville on Dec. 7, 2019, but LVC edged Albright 91-87 in Reading on Feb. 8, 2020.

Last Time We Faced Albright in Conference Tournament
In one of the most memorable games in LVC Men's Basketball history, the Dutchmen defeated Albright 70-68 on Ricky Bugg's last-second 3-pointer in the MAC Commonwealth Championship Game back on Feb. 24, 2018.

LVC won its ninth conference championship and its first since 1995 thanks to a last-second victory at longtime rival Albright. In doing so, the Dutchmen earned the automatic bid to the NCAA DIII Championship Tournament.

With the Dutchmen trailing 68-67 in the final moments, Caleb Barwin came away with an offensive rebound and found a wide-open Bugg. With ice water in his veins, the senior guard knocked down the biggest 3-pointer of his life to put the visitors back in front with less than 10 seconds to play.

Scouting LVC
Led by potential conference player of the year Collin Jones, the Dutchmen have been special offensively and defensively this year. Jones ranks second in the MAC Commonwealth with 20.4 points per game, while Zach Tucker sits in fourth at 15.7. Jones is also second in rebounds per contest at 8.9, while Luis Garcia ranks tied for first with 36 assists.

As a team, the Dutchmen score 80.1 points per game, good for second, and LVC leads the league in scoring defense at 73.8. LVC also takes advantage on the charity stripe, as the Dutchmen rank first with a team free-throw percentage of .711.

Scouting Albright
Samuel Majekodunmi is the Lions' scoring leader, averaging 13.2 points per game, while Jordan Guerrero scores 11 points per game. Albright scores an average of 79.4 points per game, good for third in the conference, while the Lions allow 74.0 points per game, second to only the Dutchmen.
