ANNVILLE, Pa. –
Zach Tucker and
Jaylen Reichner have been named Lebanon Valley Men's Basketball's 2021-22 team captains, announced head coach
Brad McAlester.
"I'm excited to have Zach and Jaylen as our captains," said coach McAlester. "They both represent all that's positive about LVC and our basketball program. Their leadership skills will filter throughout our team."
A season ago, Tucker earned his second-career All-MAC Commonwealth honor after having been named Honorable Mention in 2019-20. Last season, Tucker was second on the team with 15.2 points per game and went 50-for-60 from the free throw line. His highest-scoring game of the season came against Stevenson on March 11 when he racked up 28 points, including four 3-pointers.
Reichner appeared in all 11 games last season off the bench in a high-energy role for the Dutchmen. He was one of the team leaders in three-point shooting a season ago hitting at 35.3% clip. Off the court, Reichner earned a spot on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) honors court for his academic achievements. Reichner was one of 26 student-athletes at LVC last year to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA.
