ANNVILLE, Pa. – Head Lebanon Valley Baseball Coach Jonas Fester has announced that TJ Holdredge, Chris DeClerico, Kyle Kingsbury, Matt Blocksom, and Daymond Zweizig will serve as captains in 2021.

Holdredge was named a captain again for this upcoming season after serving as one in 2020. In a shortened season last year, Holdredge notched eight hits and tied for third on the team with eight RBI. He saw some time on the bump and pitched four scoreless innings against Maritime (N.Y.). In 2019, Holdredge appeared in 38 games and made 36 starts. He led the squad with a .379 batting average and 50 hits, including nine doubles, en route to a MAC Commonwealth Second Team nod.

DeClerico is also now a two-time captain, having served as a leader in 2020. The Pennington, N.J. native was on fire last year before the season was cut short. In 10 games, he led the team with 17 hits, a .500 batting average, and a pair of triples to go along with a 1.224 OPS. In 2019, he finished second on the team with 48 hits and led the squad with 13 doubles, three home runs, and 28 runs scored.

Kingsbury made three starts on the mound in 2020 and dominated the competition, going 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA in 15 innings pitched and tied for first on the team with 16 strikeouts. He was named a 2019 All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team after going 3-4 with a 4.21 ERA, while leading the Flying Dutchmen with 44 punchouts.

Blocksom was solid for LVC last year and made a pair of appearances. He didn't allow a run in two innings pitched and struck out three. The lefty bullpen specialist made 10 appearances in 2019 and struck out 11 batters.

Zweizig saw time on the bump and at the plate in 2020. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings with a 2.70 ERA and six strikeouts. In 1.1 innings of relief vs. Muskingum, he allowed just one hit and struck out a pair.
