GILBERT, Ariz. – Lebanon Valley's
Cecile Kat has been named a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Third-Team All-American, announced Wednesday. This is Kat's first All-American honor of her illustrious career.
Kat is the field hockey program's first All-American since Lauren Brumbach garnered the distinction in 2014 as a First-Team honoree. In the team's history, Kat is just the 32nd different player to be honored.
The junior, who was named the 2019 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Year for the second-consecutive season, enjoyed yet another memorable season for the Dutchmen in 2019. The NFHCA All-South Atlantic Region First Team pick started all 20 games she appeared in and collected 20 goals, three assists, and 43 points, the most goals and points in the MAC Commonwealth this season. She recorded 71 shots on goal, netted a league-best six game-winning goals, and had six multi-goal games, including a hat trick. She ranked 17th in the nation in goals per game at 1.00.
Kat was the lone MAC Commonwealth player to earn All-America status and one of just three in the entire MAC.
