ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's and women's swim teams hosted Messiah for the program's penultimate home meet of the 2016-17 campaign on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 21. The men fell to the Falcons 144-49, while the women fell by a 168-37 decision.
Chris Kurtz was the first men's swimmer to earn a victory, picking up the win in the men's 200-meter IM thanks to a time of 2:23.37.
Ian Lloyd's strong season continued with a victory in the 100-meter fly as he touched in 59.26, more than three seconds faster than Nick Wieder, the runner-up from Messiah.
On the women's side, the foursome of
Madison Martin,
D'Anna Sydow,
Leslie Hiller, and
Julianna Currie was LVC's top finisher in the 200-meter medley relay, while
Kyra Valent and Currie earned third-place finishes in the 200-meter and 50-meter free races, respectively.
Lebanon Valley will close out the home portion of its schedule when the team hosts Lycoming at the Arnold Sports Center on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 22. LVC's meet against the Warriors will also serve as the program's Senior Day.
