Men's Basketball to Host First-Ever Make-A-Wish Game on Jan. 28

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's basketball program will host its first-ever Make-A-Wish Game on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 28. LVC will honor Wish Child Sammy Hill and her family during the contest's pregame ceremonies at Sorrentino Gymnasium at 2 p.m

The 16-year old Hill will be presented with a special Lebanon Valley College Make-A-Wish jersey by the team's captains and cheerleaders. The Hummelstown native describes herself as liking to play outside with her friends, going to Hersheypark with her family, and playing board games, card games, and videos when she has some time.

In honor of the event, Lebanon Valley will auction off special uniforms that each player will wear for one game only. Each jersey and pair of shorts is being auctioned online through bidding at LVC's athletic website GoDutchmen.com. In-person bids will also be accepted at Sorrentino Gymnasium on the day of the contest until the start of the second half.

Men's Basketball Make-A-Wish Uniform Auction

Join us for this special day to help make Wishes Come True. In addition to the jersey auction, members of LVC's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be in attendance to accept patron donations. Make-A-Wish stars will be available on game day for a $1 donation and will be on display throughout the upper bowl of Sorrentino Gymnasium.

All proceeds from the jersey auction, game day donations from those in attendance, and donations from former players taking part in the program's annual alumni game will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

LVC's men's and women's basketball teams will take part in a MAC Commonwealth doubleheader against conference rival Hood in the afternoon. The men's game is set for 2 p.m., while the women's contest will tip off at 4 p.m.
