ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's and women's basketball teams begin MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament play this week, with the women hosting Lycoming tonight at 7 p.m. and the men hosting Arcadia on Wednesday night.
LVC's women (16-9, 10-6 MAC Commonwealth) earned the tourney's no. 4 seed and will take on the Warriors (14-11, 9-7 MAC Commonwealth) just two days after facing them in the regular-season finale. Lyco swept the season series with a 77-68 victory at Sorrentino Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon and a 63-60 win in Williamsport on Jan. 16.
LVC's men (16-9, 10-6 MAC Commonwealth) earned a bye into the tournament's semifinal round thanks to earning the league's no. 2 seed. Arcadia (16-9, 9-7 MAC Commonwealth) is the no. 3 seed and will visit Annville on Wednesday night. The Flying Dutchmen swept the season series with an 83-74 victory at Arcadia on Dec. 2 and a 93-75 win over the Knights on Feb. 13.
The championship games for both the men's and women's tournaments are set for Saturday afternoon, Feb. 27. Albright is the top seed on the women's side, while Alvernia earned the no. 1 seed for the men's tourney.
