Box Score Men's Basketball
Lycoming 87, Lebanon Valley 73

ANNVILLE, Pa. - A big second-half push by Lycoming helped the Warriors come away with an 87-73 win over Lebanon Valley Wednesday night.

For the second straight game, the Dutchmen (4-9, 2-5 CC) fell victim to a big run by its opponent coming out of halftime as the Warriors (7-6, 3-4 CC) scored 12 of the half's first 15 points to break open a one-point game.

LVC was limited to 39.3 percent shooting for the game, led by Kevin Agnew's 20 points, 12 by Kyler Burke, and 10 off the bench by Zach Mrozek. The Dutchmen drained 10 three-pointers, but suffered several second-half cold spells that allowed Lycoming to pull away. The Warriors had four players in double digits, led by Eric Ishman off the bench with 18 and Malcolm Covington's 16.

The first half was competitive the entire way, and LVC led by as much as six after a 9-0 mid-half run capped by Travis Conrad's 18-footer put them up 25-19. Lycoming outscored LVC 16-9 to end the half, carrying a 35-34 lead to the break after Joey Giangiobbe ended the half with a bucket.

Covington made a pair of buckets around a free throw and layup by Luke Berguson to start the second half, but an 8-0 run - which included six points by Kevin Anthony - blew the game open for the Warriors to establish a 10-point lead. A 13-2 spurt later in the half put Lycoming up by 21, at 73-52, to shut the door after the Dutchmen clawed back into the game with a Mrozek three-point play.

Lycoming held a 40-31 rebounding advantage and shot 54.2 percent overall, including 8-for-15 for three. Tyson Hayes scored his first career point at the line in the final minute for LVC.

LVC will visit Albright on Saturday.
