SCRANTON, Pa. – Freshman
Sammy Bost notched her first collegiate goal and the Lebanon Valley women's soccer team notched its second win of the season, a 2-1 victory over Marywood on Sunday afternoon.
Following a scoreless first 45 minutes, Bost found the back of the net in the 53rd minute for her first career score and the 1-0 lead for LVC. Marywood tied the game up at 1-1 on a score from Brianna Bruster in the 76th minute, but Bost found junior
Amanda Douglass in the 84th minute for the game winner.
The rookie has been impressive to open her collegiate career, recording an assist in her opening game against York College (Pa.) and now a goal in her fourth start. Senior
Heather Tran led the way offensively for the Dutchmen with eight shots, while Bost and senior
Lindi Crist tallied five shots apiece.

Becca Sykes was efficient, facing seven shots and making three saves in her second win of the year. The Valley put an immense amount of pressure on the Marywood defensive unit, posting season-high numbers in shots (31) and shots on goal (18). LVC also held a 3-2 corner kick advantage.
Next up for the Valley is a trip to Wilkes on Thursday for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
