ANNVILLE, Pa. – Four different LVC players posted scoring tallies and the Lebanon Valley women's soccer team cruised to a 4-0 win over Susquehanna on Saturday afternoon at Herbert Field.
Seniors
Heather Tran and
Jess Kleeschulte, junior
Amanda Douglass, and sophomore
Raeann La Flame all recorded goals for the LVC attack. Senior goalkeeper
Becca Sykes picked up her second shutout of the season, making two saves on the day.
Tran got LVC on the board in the 26th minute, receiving a pass on a throw just inside the box. She was able to turn and beat Susquehanna goalkeeper Rachel Norbuts on the far side for the 1-0 lead. That lead would hold going into the halftime break as LVC dominated with a 9-2 shot advantage.
Coming out in the second, Kleeschulte and Douglass each put away goals off of second-chance opportunities in the 60th and 73rd minutes, respectively. La Flame finished a pass across the front of the goal by sophomore
Rachel Cummings to send the final tally to 4-0.
The Valley held a 17-3 edge in shots and a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks. Douglass and Tran each posted three shots on the day, while Kleeschulte and senior
Sarah Dowhower recorded two shots on the afternoon.
Next up for the Dutchmen is a meeting with Muhlenberg on Tuesday at Herbert Field at 4 p.m.
