ANNVILLE, Pa. – Freshman 
Sammy Bost scored her first career hat trick to lead the Lebanon Valley women's soccer team to a 5-0 win over Lycoming on Wednesday afternoon at Herbert Field.
Bost converted three of her five shots into goals on the day, scoring two goals in the first 13 minutes of play. The third came 10 minutes into the second half on a feed from senior 
Lindi Crist.
Junior 
Amanda Douglass had three points of her own with two assists and one goal, while senior 
Heather Tran picked up a goal and an assist as well. Additionally, Bost finished off her day with an assist on Douglass' tally and senior 
Sarah Wannlund notched a helper on the second goal from Bost.
The game was dominated by the Dutchmen from the opening kickoff, holding Lycoming without a shot in the first half. LVC held a 32-2 shot advantage for the game and an 8-3 edge in corner-kick opportunities.
The Valley attack forced Lycoming goalkeeper Caitlin Dougherty into 17 saves, getting five shots through to the net. Dougherty was relieved by Megan Maurer with 10 minutes to play with Maurer making two saves.
In net for LVC, freshman 
Taylor Reinhold got the start, but saw very little action before being relieved by classmate 
Amy Overpeck with 14 minutes remaining in the game. Overpeck made one save in her first appearance of the year.
With the win, the Dutchmen move to 6-4-2 on the year and 1-1-0 in Commonwealth Conference play. Next up for LVC is a meeting with Alvernia at Herbert Field on Saturday at 12 p.m.
