Box Score Women's Soccer
Lebanon Valley 2, Marywood 1

SCRANTON, Pa. – This is the type of day the Dutchmen had become accustomed to over the last three seasons. Nicole Snyder scored a pair of goals to both tie her for the Lebanon Valley College career record and launch her team to a 2-1 win at Marywood Saturday afternoon.

Snyder's goals bring her career total to 34, tying Kim McDonald (2000-03) atop the record book. Her second goal also marks the 10th game-winning goal of her career – further extending a record she already held.

Snyder scored in the 29th and 48th minutes of the game to give the Dutchmen (1-2) a 2-0 lead by early second half. Both goals were unassisted.  Snyder took a season-high nine shots – indicative of the level of control the team maintained on the field. In total, LVC outshot Marywood 19-7 and committed just five fouls.

Marywood's Jessica Cosentino scored in the 70th minute to shorten the deficit to a single goal. Marywood (0-3) got one more shot off before the end of the game, but it sailed wide.

Becca Sykes in goal for the Dutchmen. Sykes played the entire game and made five saves.

The Dutchmen play at Scranton Sunday at 1 p.m.
