ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley opened its 2012-13 home schedule Tuesday with its second annual Pink Meet, hosting Albright at the Arnold Sports Center.
For the second straight year, the Dutchmen (0-2) were raising money for LVC's Relay For Life, which will take place March 22, 2013. Albright won both meets, with the men's score at 131-63 and the women's at 111-86.
The men were highlighted by an event win for the 200-free relay, as
Blade Umstead, Clayton Heebner,
David Corvino, and
Dan Weinel touched in 1:45.78. Individually, Umstead went sub-26 in the 50-free to place second in 25.86, qualifying for MACs in the process. Heebner swam a 1:03.07 for second in the 100-fly, also qualifying for MACs.
Matt Dwyer added a second-place 1:09.01 in the 100-back.
Ian Jackson, second in the 800-free in 10:12.03, also had a MAC time. Robert Burkhart placed second in the 100-breast in 1:15.65.
The women won three events, led by
Jan Ikeda, who won the 200-free in 2:15.66, then took the 100-fly by nearly 15 seconds in 1:05.72.
Mary Gardner surged on the second lap to take the 50-free in 30.06.
Alicia Hain took second in the 100-back in 1:14.23, well under the MAC standard.
LVC will visit Arcadia on Friday night.
