ANNVILLE, Pa. - Twelve event wins by the Dutchmen highlighted the 2012 LVC Indoor Invitational, held Saturday at Arnold Sports Center.
LVC was led by double wins from both
Johanna Walker and
Jerome Duncan. No team scoring was kept.
Walker had personal bests in the 55-meter dash and 55-meter hurdles, re-setting her program record in the hurdles to win in 8.63 before setting a PR in the 55 to win in 7.50. Duncan was a double-winner in the 55-hurdles (7.92) and the high jump (5-8).
Michael Harnish and
Eliott Bonds went 1-2 in the 800, with Harnish coming within a hair of the arena record (2:00.53) with his 2:00.75 win. Bonds ran 2:07.73.
Alyssa Miller started the day with an 11:56.32 win in the 3,000, and
Andrew Goelz made it an LVC 3K sweep with a 9:13.08 victory, the fourth-fastest 3,000 time in LVC's top-10 book.
Jamielyn Samper added a win in the women's 500-meter dash in 1:27.71.
In field events,
Alisha Farrell won the long jump at 4.95 meters, and
Tori Stramara took the triple with a 9.76-meter mark.
Kelsey Wallen won the indoor pentathlon with 1,937 points over teammate Stephanie Monico (1,656).
Kevin Greene (3,334) and
Bill Gardner (3,144) were third and fourth in the heptathlon, respectively.
The meet ended with a unique co-ed 4x400 relay, and LVC's sprinters held off the distance runners as
Kristin Fitti-Hafer, De'von Moore, Farrell, and Duncan won in 3:58.75, a second over the relay of
Tiff Frederick, Bonds, Samper, and Harnish.
