ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Lebanon Valley turned in a program record by the women's 200-medley relay and a number of season-bests as they competed at Elizabethtown Tuesday night.
The women (4-2) fell 117-88 but took home five event wins; the men (1-5) dropped their meet 133-50.
The 200-medley relay lowered the program record by nearly a second, winning in 1:59.16 with
Alicia Hain,
Julia Mongeau,
Jan Ikeda, and
Mary Gardner besting the yard mark of 2:00.14 set earlier this year.
Mongeau won two individual events, capturing the 200-IM in 2:23.44 and then the 100-breaststroke in 1:14.76. Ikeda also won the 100-fly in 58.25, and Hain picked up a victory in the 200-free in 2:09.59 with
Kristen Zartman grabbing second by two-tenths in 2:13.43.
The men had several second-place finishes, including season-bests by the relays with a 1:56.65 by
Joseph Chubb,
Erik Brandt,
Ryan Humphries, and
Collin Straka in the 200-medley relay and a 1:38.80 in the 200-free relay by
Shane Miller, Dwyer, Straka, and Chubb.
Humphries was second in both the 1,000-yard free in 12:54.09 and the 100-fly in a season-best 1:06.75, and
Matt Dwyer's 24.61 was good for second in the 50-free before he was second in the 100-backstroke in 1:02.55.
Chris Kanezo was second in the 100-free in 1:05.98.
