ANNVILLE, Pa.
- Jordan Stewart hit two key shots in the final minute - including the go-ahead runner with five seconds left - to lead Lebanon Valley to the Rinso Marquette Tournament championship with a 59-57 nailbiter over Wesley on Sunday.

The Dutchmen (2-1) ended up on the right side of a scoreline that saw 14 lead changes and 10 ties with the Wolverines (1-1). LVC was led by Stewart's 19-point, 13-rebound double-double and Danny Brooks' 18 points and six rebounds.

Brooks, who scored 26 in the tournament against Gallaudet, was named tournament MVP, and Stewart earned all-tournament honors along with Wesley's Paul Reynolds (22 points in the final) and JJ Bryant (10 points). Gallaudet's Danny Kelly and Rowan's Jason Sofman were also honored.

Lebanon Valley defended its 2010-11 Marquette title, winning for the 12th time in the 20-year history of the tournament.

Neither side led by more than three during a see-saw first half that ended with Wesley up 25-23. The Wolverines ran out to a quick start in the second to take build a four-point lead, but the Dutchmen hit a 6-0 run including layups by Stewart and Cameron Prince midway through the half to retake the lead and set up a dogfight down the stretch.

The Dutchmen built their largest lead of the game, six points, on a Kevin Agnew three and a Joe Meehan layup with 8:19 to go, but Wesley came right back and forged the eighth tie of the game at 51-51 on Reynolds' jumper with 5:31 left.

Both teams suffered a long scoring drought before Joey Giangiobbe made one of two free throws at the 3:29 mark, and Reynolds' second-chancer gave Wesley a 53-52 lead with 3:03 remaining. Brooks' short jumper retook the lead on the next trip down the court, and Chris Douglas made one of two to tie it at 54-54 with 2:06 remaining.

David Langan made a putback with 1:26 remaining to give Wesley a lead, but Stewart canned a fall-away three-pointer from the corner to take a 57-56 lead with 47 seconds left. Reynolds drew a foul and only made one to tie the game, setting up Stewart again as he drained a left-handed runner with five seconds left to win it. Reynolds's buzzer-beater layup was too strong.

LVC will travel to Pittsburgh next weekend to take part in the Raddisson Invitational at Carnegie Mellon, playing Ithaca on Nov. 26.

In the consolation game, Rowan (2-1) held off a spirited late charge from Gallaudet to win 71-64. Rich McNamera led the Profs with 13 points and 20 rebounds, and Kendall White scored 19. Danny Kelly had a 20-point, 14-rebound double-double off the bench for Gallaudet (1-2).
