CHESTER, Pa. - Katie Deardorff and Heather Tran scored goals and the Lebanon Valley women's soccer team locked up a home playoff game with a 2-0 win at Widener Saturday night.

The Dutchmen (11-4-3, 4-1-1) are guaranteed a home game in the Commonwealth Conference playoffs on Nov. 1 for the semifinal round.

Deardorff opened the team's scoring in the 32nd minute. The goal was unassisted and is her second of the season.

Tran scored in the 49th minute off a pass from Jess Kleeschulte. Tran has seven goals on the season--the second highest total behind Nicole Snyder's 15.

Sami Young improved to 8-3-2 in goal. She made two saves to earn her fifth shutout of the season.

LVC outshot Widener 20-6. They also led 6-0 in corner kicks.

LVC hosts Lycoming Saturday at noon for the regular season finale. It's also Senior Day, in celebration of the team's seniors: Young, Sara Drabenstadt and Jordan Nendza.
