ANNVILLE, Pa. – An early first half goal from Nicole Snyder led Lebanon Valley women's soccer to a 1-0 win over Widener Saturday afternoon. With the victory, the Dutchmen clinched a spot in the Commonwealth Conference playoffs. The #3 seed, LVC will travel to #2 Arcadia Wednesday, with the game time to be determined.

LVC came out strong in the first half, posting nine shots to Widener's four. The Dutchmen also held a 2-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Snyder's team leading seventh goal of the season came at 15:01. Lauren King started the play, hitting a through ball to a Snyder, who gained momentum and broke away from the defense. She then snuck the ball around the keeper, hitting it into the lower left corner.

The second half was more even with LVC tallying seven shots while Widener had five. The Pride notched two corner kicks in the final 45 minutes.

Sami Young played the complete game for LVC, making seven saves. Vanessa Hejnas started in goal for Widener, making six saves in 67:58, while Valarie Perretti made a save in the remainder.

Today marked LVC's first Pink on the Pitch game, in honor of breast cancer awareness month. All proceeds raised throughout the month will be donated to the Lebanon Chapter of the American Cancer Society.

The Dutchmen finish the regular season with a 10-7-2 overall record and a 3-3-1 mark in Commonwealth Conference action.

LVC last appeared in the conference playoffs in 2007.
