GLENSIDE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley picked up its first wins of the season on Saturday, beating Arcadia while picking up seven new MAC qualifiers.
The men's team won 125-74, while the women won 120-85. LVC turned in 14 event wins, including all four relays.
For the men, Jeff Bush won twice in the 50 free in 23.77 and the 100 free in 52.35, and
John Denniston was also a double winner, taking the 200-free in 2:02.86 and 500 free in 5:27.27*. Matthew Dwyer (1:03.32),
Brett Wimmer (1:03.40), and
Tony Shipkowski (1:06.43) finished in the top three spots in the 100 back.
For the men's relays, the 200 medley of Wimmer,
Miles Mosher, Shipkowski, and Nate Heinly won in 1:53.80, and the 200 free of Heinley, Joe Chubb, Mosher, and Bush was first in 1:38.81.
The women were led by
Alicia Hain's two wins, as she touched first in the 200 IM in 2:29.82*, then won the 500 free in 5:52.32*.
Kristen Zartman won the 200 free in 2:11.15, and
Julia Mongeau won the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.13 before
Noelle Brossman won the 100 back in 1:09.46.
The women's 200 medley relay of Hain, Mongeau,
Ally Birli, and
Charlie Robinson won in 2:06.09, and their 200 free relay of Robinson,
Mary Gardner, Brossman, and Zartman was first in 1:51.25.
